Blakeford Senior Life recently opened a new state-of-the-art memory care campus in Green Hills as a part of its $75 million expansion. Burton Court at Blakeford Memory Care delivers outstanding quality care for seniors with Alzheimer’s and dementia in a home-like setting.

Featuring two floors designed to function as individual communities, the memory care campus boasts 24 apartments, a patio, a deck and two dining spaces reminiscent of residential kitchens. It also includes “four seasons” sitting rooms, activity rooms and salons, where residents can get manicures, pedicures and more.

Blakeford believes in boutique-style, personalized care and programming for each resident, particularly in their memory care program. Burton Court at Blakeford Memory Care’s care philosophy is designed to encourage independence and movement while providing a secure space to pursue various interests. The highly dedicated staff provides individualized programming to residents seven days a week.

The care team at Blakeford looks for ways that residents can find comfort in creating a routine while enjoying familiar hobbies. For example, they set up an art gallery and studio for a resident who was a career painter.
