Since opening in 1996, Blakeford has grown into a vibrant Life Plan Community where older adults thrive, supported by relationships, purpose, and a true sense of belonging.
Like a pearl formed over time—precious, strong, and enduring—our community has been shaped by the people who live and serve here. Guided by our core values of community, compassion, consistency, empowerment, integrity, innovation, and respect, Blakeford continues to evolve while staying grounded in what matters most.
As part of this milestone year, we are celebrating not only our history, but the lives being lived and the stories still unfolding today. Through Voices of Blakeford, residents and team members are sharing reflections, advice, and memories—creating a meaningful collection of messages for future generations and a lasting testament to the heart of our community.
Our Pearl Anniversary also reflects the spirit of generosity that defines Blakeford. Through the Blakeford Foundation’s 30 in 30 Campaign, we are supporting the Team Member Support Fund—an initiative that provides assistance for team members in times of need, honoring those who care for our residents every day.
Throughout the year, we will celebrate this milestone with special events, storytelling, and community traditions—honoring where we’ve been while looking ahead with purpose.

In honor of this milestone, the Blakeford Foundation invites you to participate in our 30 in 30 – A Pearl Anniversary Campaign, supporting the Team Member Support Fund.
This fund provides critical assistance to team members during times of personal hardship, ensuring they are supported while continuing the vital work of caring for others. It is a meaningful way to recognize those who embody Blakeford’s mission every day—and to give back to the people who give so much.
As part of this anniversary celebration, we are also capturing the voices of our residents and team members—preserving their stories, reflections, and encouragement for those who will one day call Blakeford home. Through these shared experiences, we honor a legacy of care that continues to grow.
